Rites

Last Rituals before the cremation tomorrow.

There seems to be a surreal atmosphere, people chatting away, eating, joking. Seems that its a party instead of a wake.If Aunty Big is still alive, she would prefered it this way too. For everyone to have a good time, too much food, catching up with each other.

I wonder why I have not teared yet.

Memory

I want to remember Aunty Big the way she was.

The person lying in the coffin doesn't looks like her at all.Would miss her Almond Jelly, Pumpkin Kueh, her cooking. Miss her nagging, I will miss her.

Busy Day

Grand father's anniversary - went to collect kueh from some famous stall in Upper Serangoon; and a chicken plus a duck at Small Uncle's stall before going to Grand Ma's house for the prayers.

Met Jie for the first time after 10 plus years. He looks dashing but seems to feel akward; maybe is because its really been too many years that he never been to see Grand Ma.

After he left, Wei Wei came with his mother. Haiz, if one family leaves a bit later and the other came earlier, the two first cousins who have never seen each other would have met!

Went to the hospital to visit Aunty Big after lunch. She seems weaker and I actually pray that her sufferings would end as soon as possible. There is nothing much that we can do for her and her body is just being eaten up by the cancer and the only way her pain would end is...

A distant relative passed away on Christmas Day. She had a stroke 33 years ago and actually her family is relieved that she finally passed on. We drop in at the wake which is at a church in Kampung Bahru for a short while and I met some relatives that I have never seen in ages.


Went back to Grand Ma's for dinner and there was too much food coz she expected more people to turn up but think most are busy with their own stuff. But Hui and Ting was there and we had quite a good chat.

Sick & Death

After much procastinating, I finally went for a swim.

Visited Aunty Big in SGH before going for lessons. And I actually took the wrong direction on the NEL. Haiz, think age is catching up.

Did more re-issue in class today and the we spent too much time over the petty taxes part which ended up in the class being dis-missed early as we had to for-go our break time.

Met up with Mum and Sixth Aunty at Tanjong Pagar. Then we went to Pasir Ris to attend a wake.

Fruitless

Oh No.

Albert has been booted out of Star Idol. Baby face guys with Single-eye-lid simply melts my heart.

Left home early today to collect * at Bugis. Since it was relatively early, popped in at Nines Cafe to slack till its time to go for class. Didn't have much appetite for lunch - ate a dumpling which I bought at Tangs Market.

Did Re-Issue today in class, think is relatively easier than Original Issue. The fare calculations part is easier and just have to be very careful of some details when writing the ticket.

Met up with Hamster, Ping n Jeremy for a fruitless trip to Eunos.

Pissed Off

Yesterday nite after a nice shower, I settled down in bed reading Sidney Sheldon's The Sands of Time when Desmond called to jio me go drinking at Boat Quay as he striked 4D.

I was very hesitant but finally made up my mind to meet up with him as I haven seen him for some time. So I changed into clubing clothes and made my way down to Boat Quay. But I waited ONE whole hour before he reached with his friends.

He borrowed $10 from me to pay their cab fare and I was quit curious as there were 3 of them in the cab and they can't afford the cab fare? When they alighted from the cab, no one made any introductions and instead they joined some people who were in some kind of arguement outside the pub.

It started raining after about half an hour; seeing that their arguements doesn't seems to be ending, so I decided not to wait and made my way home.

So, I slept at 0200 hrs again when I have decided to sleep early.

Screwed Up

My body clock is screwed up.

For the past few nites, only managed to fall asleep around 0200. And normally have to stuff myself with some bread and milk. Woke up at 0800 and wasted time serving the net. The I went back to sleep!

The concept for doing C Construction is simple enough, but the actual calculations is very tedious. But still managed to get the lowest possible fare for all the intinery.

Met Cauli after class intending to look at the Outdoor Air Photo Display but it rained so we went to Kino to collect a book and moved over to Chinatown to have Korean Dinner.

Went to SGH to visit Aunty Big who was warded yesterday. According to Dad, she is on the Dangerously Ill List but she seems to be quite okay. Then again, nobody can tell, especially with cancer cases.

Unexpected

Had lunch at ArtsBristo with Mum and Sis - who is on leave today.

Lesson was okay - we did PTA and also issued a PTA MCO. Saw Kiat on the escalator in the Orchard MRT Underpass when I was on the way To Wisma after class. He called me a bit later when he finished buying some stuff and we met up at Isetan.

We spend a good hour in MOS Burger catching up and somehow, think we both feel that age is catching up and its time to re-think about our lives.

No one was at home tonite - Sis still out shopping and Mum + Dad was out to attend a Wedding Dinner.

Just had a chat with Cauli on the phone which also involved calling Jave in the middle of our conversation to seek his expertise on some China History.

Musings

New Week.

Actually this is a good season for temp work, especially since the economy is picking up, there are lots of companies hiring temp staff.

But, as my lessons are in the afternoon, I couldn't tale up any assignments. At least not until the 22nd. I will be free from 22 Dec 05 to 10 Feb 06. 8 weeks of lessons break.

Still pondering should I take up some temp assignments to make some money or concentrate on revising my lessons as I know I have to go through the whole of the General Travel Knowledge by myself.

On another note, chatted with Cauli yesterday nite and sometimes, there are certain things that you can't seems to let go, a much as you would like to.

We will see how things work out next year. Another major change? Would I be ready for it?
