Solo

Seems like I can go solo already.

My Mentor actually left me to fend for myself today and I did quite well. Just need to refresh some points and get to know the different airlines requirements and procedures.

Finally went to sign the appointment letter after work today and Human Resource staff keep asking to convert back to full time after six months, lets see what happens during this half a year.

I was told that I will be working in a new team handling a new client. Not a new airline but a full carrier that decides to change their ground handling agent. Basically will be a early shift roster but there will be some days that have to start at 0400!

Didn't pay my phone bills and now my line is suspended!

Off Day

Initially planned to go Suntec City but ended up in Dhorby Ghuat.

Went to look see look see at the new shopping area at the Dhorby Ghuat Station and went over to Plaza Singapura.

Wanted to catch a movie but no nice timing and there are way too much people. So walked over to Le Meridian Food Court to have lunch. Originally planned to eat Thai Food but seeing that there is a vegetarian stall, I ended up eating vegetarian instead.

Relaxed in the cafe in OG Orchard after lunch cause it rained quite heavily and almost fall asleep in the cafe! Hopped over to the new extension at Center Point when the rain stopped and looked around a bit.

Caught "The Holiday" at Cathay Cine. Worth watching and the ending is so touching. Wanted to find some food after the show but suddenly lost appetite so walked to Orchard Station with a de-tour to Isetan before catching the train home.

Bought some note books at Popular for copying deployment at work and two cakes for breakfast. Nowadays the deployments are so tight that there is no possibility of stealing time to have breakfast. Anyway, eating at home will also save cost.

Old And New

Normal day at work.

Good to see old faces and of course there are way to many new people around. Heard that the canteen will close for 3 months renovation, not sure will there be a temporary canteen? If not, where will the staff go eat?

Went Chinatown to eat at the aunty's vegetarian shop after work.

Work

Doesn't seems like I left the Company for one year.

Got into the swing and mood quite fast and worked well with the people in my Team. But still can sense the politics directing at me going on and its just my first working day. But to heck with it, I just want to do my part and don't get too involved in the office politics.

Due to the fact that the company is going to change the uniforms for guys, the admin didn't stock up the old uniform so I ended up getting a pair of 35" waist pants! I know I had put on some weight over the year, but 35" waist is a bit over stretch rite?

Checked my EZLink card and realized that it now cost $2.00 to get from Toa Payoh to Changi Airport and it also means that my transport cost per day will be at least $4.00. Plus food, tit-bits and nick nacks; My daily expenses will probably be about $10 or so.

Went to Mike's Grandma's wake after work and did a little catching up. He really looks bloated. It has been quite some time we met up but didn't chat much as he has other friends around.

Forgot to wash my bowls before leaving the house and expect some nagging soon.

First Day

First Day of work.

But spent less than half an hour at my work place. Cause I will understudy Betsy this week following her roster and today is a Off Day. But I went back to collect uniforms.

There will be a change of uniform to grey pants for guys next year, which is like three weeks away! So my new blue pants can be kept for other use liao.
